New Twist on the Old Ombré

18 Mar

Ombré has taken the world by storm. Everywhere you look from fashion, food to home decor ombré is there – in the details.

French for shading, ombré takes the eye on a journey through the various shades of one single color. Strong to subtle, either way you will fall in love.

Ombré has been translated from bright colors to sexy, beach-inspired strands. I WANT to pull this look off! It’s like you are walking around with spotlights shining throughout your hair. Ombré hair is beautiful – but hard to achieve. I have seen some bad copies before, so please use your stylist if you are going to give this trendy look at try. Or, from the looks above, Lauren Conrad has extensions in – a great alternative to not damaging your own hair.

But what really made me want to write about the ombré (because obviously, this isn’t a new trend) was this picture right here…

It is a new twist on the old ombré – color. How great does LC look here? More and more fashionistas are becoming bolder by adopting this trend and adding a splash of color. I would love to try this look at least once in my life… but maybe I should try the old ombré first before diving into the new. Either way, I love it all!
